Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly on the cusp of signing Barcelona forward Neymar in this summer’s transfer window. The Brazil international has already made his mind up for a move to Parc des Princes and both clubs are likely to hold a press-conference in order to speak over the proposed transfer.

Les Parisiens boss Unai Emery had recently highlighted that the club could seek to bring in world-class recruits to their squad, and they are supposedly on the brink of signing, who will cost a staggering €222m from Barcelona. On top of it, Neymar will earn a significant wage hike with the Capital outfit offering him a €30m annual package – putting him on par with Barca star Lionel Messi.

Fellow teammates including Gerard Pique have urged Neymar to stay put at Camp Nou beyond the summer, but according to Le Parisien, the player has set his sights on pursuing a move to the French capital.

Meanwhile, Neymar is also said to have demanded the signings of Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho on his arrival, but this looks highly improbable due to the massive outlay to secure his signature this summer.

Neymar has featured alongside Coutinho in the Brazilian national team, and he has previously expressed his interest in playing with his compatriot at club level. Liverpool have been reluctant to place a price tag on the playmaker’s head but the French publication claims that Coutinho could cost around €90m.

Alexis Sanchez is another who has propped up the club’s wishlist, but a potential move has been put on hold due to his staggering wage demands. Should Neymar make a U-turn on his decision, Les Parisiens could have the liberty of discussing a deal for one or both of them.

Paris Saint-Germain lost their foothold on the French Ligue 1 title last season as AS Monaco made the most of their attacking brand of football in order to end Les Parisiens’ four-year dominance.
