Liverpool have been constantly linked with French international Nabil Fekir in the summer transfer window.
The Reds were close to hiring the services of the 24-year-old attacker but last month, Lyon officially ended the negotiations with the Merseysiders much to the despair of the Anfield faithful.

However, as per the latest update provided by Ligue 1 team’s boss Bruno Genesio, the Reds could still agree a deal to sign the Les Bleus playmaker. He said that Fekir will grab the chance to join Liverpool once the Pl club have agreed a fee with Lyon.
Genesio told reporters in France (quotes via Mirror Sport):
“He has expressed his desire to play at another level.” “We will need to set a date.”
“If there is a possibility like with Liverpool, Nabil will certainly seize the opportunity, once both parties agree.”
Fekir scored 23 goals and provided 8 assists in all competitions for Lyon in the last campaign and deservedly earned his place in France’s World Cup squad. So far, he has only played for 57 minutes in four substitute appearances in Russia.
On 23rd June, Mirror Sport reported that Fekir is keen on signing for the Reds and from Genesio’s statements, it seems that the playmaker is still very keen on moving to Anfield.
