Arsenal already have world class attackers like Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil in the team but new boss Unai Emery needs to further amplify the depth of his offense.

In such a scenario, the north Londoners are linked with French international and Marseille playmaker Florian Thauvin.

At first, Stadio Sport reported that Emery is madly in love with the Les Bleus winger, and Arsenal will likely move to hire his services. The report mentioned that the the playmaker would command a fee of €50million.

More recently, MaxiFoot have claimed that a fee of €50million would not be enough to convince Marseille to sell their prized asset.

The 25-year-old attacker, who failed to impress in the Premier League with Newcastle United, was absolutely brilliant in the Ligue 1 last season. He featured in 35 league games and directly contributed in 34 goals (22 goals and 12 assists).

Overall, in all competitions, Thauvin played 54 games in the last campaign, scored 26 goals and provided 18 assists and deservedly earned his place in France’s World Cup squad.

It must be remembered that back in May, Marseille President Jacques-Henri Eyraud told SFR Sport (via The Mail) that he would not even look at an offer of worth €80million for Thauvin. This means that the playmaker could cost over €80million.
