Liverpool have hired the services of Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan and Virgil van Dijk to reinforce the central defense since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp.
As per latest reports going on in the media, the Reds have made move to sign another center half in the form of Croatian international and Besiktas star Domagoj Vida.
According to Fanatik, Liverpool moved in with an offer of worth €18million to hire the services of the defender from the Turkish club.
However, the Turkish outlet have mentioned that Besiktas, without even considering, rejected the move made by the Merseysiders and are asking for a fee worth €35million for their prized asset.
The former Dinamo Zagreb center back, who can also play effectively as a fullback, joined Besiktas in the January transfer window and last season, he scored 1 goal in 13 league outings.
At the 2018 World Cup, so far, Vida has featured in 4 games for Croatia and in his presence, the team has only conceded 3 goals in the competition.
In the last eight contest vs Russia, the 29-year-old scored a goal in the extra time and also converted his crucial penalty kick in the shootout to help Croatia reach the semi finals.
