Manchester United have been interested in French international and Real Madrid star Raphael Varane for a long time.
During his time at the Bernabeu, Mourinho was the one who signed Varane for the club and the Les Bleus star is now one of the best central defenders in the world.
According to Don Balon, Manchester United are ready to throw the house out the window to sign Varane and for that, they are willing to offer 70 million euros (£61million).

Varane has been brilliant for the Los Blancos and has won every major prize with them. He has already played 45 times for the senior national side and could partner Barcelona star Umtiti in France’s central defense at the World Cup.
The Spanish source has mentioned that Real Madrid defender values the idea of moving to the Premier League with the help of Man United boss Jose Mourinho.
It is further stated that if Madrid try to sign a new center half in the summer transfer window then Varane will not hesitate to move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United have already got more than a few central defenders in the squad. They signed Lindelof from Benfica last year and Eric Bailly from Villareal in 2016. Moreover, the likes of Smalling, Jones, Rojo and Blind are present as well.
In such a situation, Mourinho must look to sell a few defenders first before opting to hire the services of Varane from the reigning European champions.
