Arsenal are the only side in England’s six divisions to not earn a single point away from home in 2018. The north Londoners have once again failed to qualify for the Champions League and they need massive overhaul in the summer transfer window.
As far as the latest transfer news is concerned, the Gunners are linked with a move to sign Polish international and Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.
The 23-year-old former Empoli midfielder has been linked with Liverpool for quite some time. Last month, Italian source Tutto Mercao Web reported that the Merseysiders are interested in hiring his services.
Now, as per another Italian source in the form of Sport Media Set, it has been reported today that Arsenal are serious about signing Zielinski and they are prepared to activate his release clause of 65 million euros (£57million).
The Italian outfit have further claimed that the midfielder is tempted by the offer of the Gunners, however, the Serie A side want to renew his contract and perhaps remove the above mentioned release clause.
Zielinski is naturally a central midfielder but he has proved to be effective in the attacking third as well. In the current campaign, he has so far scored 4 goals and provided 3 assists in 34 league outings.
Unlike Arsenal, Napoli are currently second in the table and have already booked a place in the next season’s Champions League.
