Liverpool are close to signing Alisson, that much is clear from the reports Calcio Insider have covered citing the British and the Italian media in the past few days.

What about the Brazilian media? As per Chuteria FC Carta Capital, the Selecao star will sign a five year deal with the Anfield club that will make him earn €5.5million-a-year (€27.5million in five years). The price agreed is €75million.

The South American outlet have mentioned that the player will multiply his salary almost four times as he only gets around €1.5million-a-year in the Italian capital.

As per Roma’s official twitter account, Monchi has confirmed that the 25-year-old goalie is in Liverpool finalizing his move at the moment.

Verdict:

The fact that the player is in Merseyside and taking Monchi’s comments into consideration, it is evident that the fee has been officially agreed. Therefore, it is highly likely that Liverpool will seal the deal and make an official announcement very soon.

Over the years, Liverpool have consistently leaked goals due to inconsistent defenders and goal keepers. Klopp improved his back line by breaking the club record to sign Van Dijk and the the arrival of the Dutch star immediately improved the defense.

Now, the German manager is set to break a world record by making Alisson the most expensive goalie ever. The Samba star has got the quality to solve the goalkeeping conundrum once and for all.

As far as the Liverpool supporters are concerned, they will surely not want to see Mignolet and Karius start in the goal in a key match again.

  1. If Karius is replaced permanently, where and how are fans going to get their comic relief from watching football? It’s a shame this has to happen.
