Liverpool need to improve the quality and depth of their squad to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The Reds have already secured two signings of midfielders like Fabinho and Naby Keita, who will officially join the club on July 1.
As far as the attacking midfield is concerned, the Merseysiders have been constantly linked with French international and Lyon star Nabil Fekir.
According to Mirror Sport, contrary to reports in the French media, the Anfield club have not made any formal offer to sign the £50million rated (€56.9million) Les Bleus star, however, they will push to secure his signing before the start of the World Cup.
The British source have mentioned that the Ligue 1 side are in no rush to negotiate knowing that the player’s market value could increase after the World Cup, however, Liverpool want the deal soon and will make efforts to agree the signing in the next few days.
The good news for the Anfield faithful is that even Fekir wants his future to be resolved soon. As per Mirror Sport, the 24-year-old playmaker met with Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas to make it clear that he wants to secure Liverpool move and would like his future decided within the next two weeks.
Fekir directly contributed in 31 goals in all competitions for the French club last season. He naturally plays in the No.10 role behind the main center forward and we can expect him to partner the likes of Mane and Salah behind Firmino if he ends up moving to Anfield.
