Chelsea are closing in on securing the signing of Gonzalo Higuain, who is reportedly ready to agree a move to Stamford Bridge.
According to Italian source Corriere dello Sport, the former Real Madrid striker has got the approval to move to the Blues and the deal can be closed for a fee worth €60million.
On the the other hand, Calcio Mercato exclusively revealed that the striker has said yes to Chelsea move but he wants Sarri at the Bridge and a contract worth €7million-a-year (€135,000-a-week) as well.

Two years back, the player moved from Napoli to the Bianconeri and signed a deal worth €7million-a-year (The Mail), so he basically wants the same pay package at the Bridge.
As far as Chelsea’s strike-force is concerned, the Blues won the Premier League title in the 2016-17 campaign and Diego Costa was the star center forward, who scored 20 goals.
The Italian boss opted to sell the Spaniard last season (winter transfer window) and mainly preferred Alvaro Morata (signed from Madrid) in his starting XI. The former Juventus striker failed to shine and could only find the net 11 times in the league in 31 appearances.
Chelsea should move to replace Morata and in all fairness, Higuain is a much better goal scorer than the La Roja star.
The Argentine international holds the record of scoring most goals in a single Serie A campaign (36 goals in 2015-16). However, last season he only netted 16 goals in 35 league games. Will he be a hit in the Premier League? We shall see.

We just need a smart and sharp goal-getter here in the bridge and if he is going to be that person so be it.
