Liverpool seem to be seriously interested in signing Domagoj Vida from Turkish side Besiktas in the summer transfer window. If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Reds have made their third bid for the World Cup finalist.

Earlier in July, Turkish journalist Turgay Demir (Aspor) reported that the Merseysiders have made a bid worth €15million to hire the services of the 29-year-old center half.

On July 9, Fanatik covered a report and claimed that the five time European Champions submitted an offer of €18million, which was rejected.

As per the latest update provided by the Turkish source yesterday, Liverpool have made another offer and this time it is worth €20million. Fanatik claim that Besiktas still want €35million for their prized asset.

Liverpool badly needed to strengthen their back line in the winter transfer window and for that, they signed Virgil van Dijk. The Dutch international immediately improved the team’s defense.

Vida’s central defensive partner, Lovren, has been fantastic for Croatia at the World Cup. The former Southampton star proved to be brilliant against world class players like Messi and Kane in the competition.

Not to forget, he was top class for Liverpool in the Champions League final as well. Hence, we can expect Klopp to line him up with Van Dijk next season. The Reds do have central defenders like Matip, Klavan and Gomes in the squad as well.

Therefore, the German boss does not really need to sign another center half. Instead, he must focus on capturing a new goal keeper to further improve things at the back.
