Nabil Fekir is constantly linked with a move to Anfield and the Liverpool supporters are anxiously waiting for his transfer to be completed.
Earlier in the day, The Independent came up with a report and stated that the Reds have made progress in their pursuit of the French attacking midfielder and could conclude the deal before the World Cup.
Then, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed that Fekir’s transfer to Liverpool is not close and he claimed that the deal will not be completed during the World Cup (The Mail).
“The whole thing will certainly not be completed during the World Cup, and I don’t think anything will change before it.”

After that, Melissa Reddy covered a report for Joe and claimed that contrary to the comments made by Aulas, sources in France have revealed that even the French club are secretly in favor of agreeing the deal quickly and the Reds could reach an agreement by the end of the week.
Now, as per Goal.com, the Reds are closing in on a deal which would make all parties happy and they could finally clinch the signing of Fekir for €68million. Moreover, The Mail has claimed that Liverpool are on the brink of completing the deal for 53 million pounds (€60million).
Almost everyday, there are reports linking the 24-year-old star with the Anfield club and it will not be shocking to see him join the Merseysiders soon.
Fekir’s arrival would further strengthen the midfield department of Liverpool, who have already secured deals to sign Fabinho and Keita as well. The Reds must sign a new goal keeper and a quality center forward to cover for Roberto Firmino.
