£53million La Liga star willing to agree Liverpool move

Liverpool have to sign a new shot stopper to guard the goal in the next campaign if they are to seriously challenge for the Premier League title.

The likes of Mignolet and Karius are just not good enough and in such a scenario, Klopp must act swiftly to sign a quality goal keeper for the first team.

Dutch international and Barca star Jasper Cillessen has been linked with the Reds for quite some time and the latest reports suggest that the former Ajax player is willing to agree a move to Liverpool.

The 29-year-old goalie is handling two offers at the moment but Sport (print edition) have only talked about Liverpool and state that if the Merseysiders make a solid move then Cillessen will ask Barca to let him move to Anfield.

The Spanish outlet have also covered a story about the Netherlands star on their website today. In that report, Liverpool have not been mentioned.

However, Sport have reported that the La Liga champions would accept an offer of 30 million euros for the player, who has got a release clause of 60 million euros (£53million) in his contract.

Cillessen made 11 appearances in all competitions for the Catalan giants last season, kept 8 clean sheets and conceded just 3 goals.
