Top 3 Places to Visit in Thailand

Thailand has so many great things to see and places to visit.  There is the big city of Bangkok and a plethora of gorgeous islands that will simply take your breath away.  There is also Chiang Mai in the north with a mountainous and forest like terrain. Not to mention many beautiful temples.

Bangkok

It’s hard to talk about Thailand without mentioning Bangkok.  Bangkok truly is an amazing city with so much going on. It’s bustling every day with people and places to see.  There are a ton of great restaurants from Thai to Western style.  You’ll also find so many cool bars and lunges; such as Above 11, The Bar Upstairs, and Havana Social Club.  There is also The Iron Fairies in Thong Lor District which has some of the coolest decor this side of Paris.  Then there is Wong’s. Wong’s is a classic dive bar with character, grit, and stiff drinks.

Koh Lipe

Koh Lipe is an island located in the south.  You can take a one-hour plane ride from Bangkok to Hat Yai airport.  From there you take a van or taxi to Satun Pier. Then it’s about an hour and a half boat ride to Lipe Island.  Trust me it’s worth the trip. There are 3 beaches on the island and the water is a pristine blueish green that will leave you breathless.  

Chaing Mai

Chaing Mai is about an hour and a half flight from Bangkok.  It’s located in the northern part of the country. Here you can check out ancient temples that are so beautiful.  You can get a bungalow in the mountains and enjoy nature and animals in peace.  They do have a small town where you can go to the market and find small restaurants and bars also.
