European Champions Portugal will kick start their World Cup campaign today against Spain, who have recently appointed Fernando Hierro as their new manager.
As far as Portugal’s team news is concerned, superstar Cristiano Ronaldo should lead the line under coach Fernando Santos.
The Real Madrid playmaker will likely start as the lone center forward up front. Behind Ronaldo, Goncalo Guedes should start on the left wing and Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva should start on the right wing.

In the midfield, we can expect William Carvalho to start as the defensive midfielder and Joao Moutinho to line up as the creative center midfielder. Joao Mario should start as the most advanced midfielder.
As far as the back line is concerned, the likes of Pepe and Fonte should start in the central defense while Guerreiro and Cedric Soares should start in the fullback positions in front of 30-year-old goalie Rui Patricio.
