Premier League [Preview]: Arsenal vs West Bromwich Albion

Arsenal entertain West Bromwich Albion in their sixth game of the Premier League campaign. The Gunners have made a poor start to the new season, and they are currently lingering in the bottom half of the standings on 12th. Arsene Wenger’s side suffered a disappointing 4-0 defeat at Liverpool prior to the international break, but they have since recovered with a victory and a draw over Bournemouth and Chelsea respectively. Meanwhile, Tony Pulis’ side have made a solid beginning to the campaign as they usually tend to do and they are 10th on the table with eight points. The west Midlands outfit won their first two games of the season, but have since gone off the boil.

Players to watch for:

Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal: 

The Chile international has not had much of an impact at Arsenal owing to his reduced playing time in the Premier League. The attacker suffered an abdominal strain prior to the start of the campaign, and this has seen him build up his fitness in the Europa League and League Cup games. With Danny Welbeck out for at least a month, the 28-year-old is likely to get the nod in the left-wing role, and he could provide the extra zest required to get through a solid Baggies backline.

Grzegorz Krychowiak – Paris Saint-Germain:

As the focus will be on Gareth Barry for his Premier League record-breaking appearance, the Gunners will have to be wary of the movement of Krychowiak. The Poland international has the tendency to push his way into the opposition box and has already got a couple of shots towards goal. The Baggies loanee has previously been linked with elite English clubs, but the move to the Hawthorns could offer him more freedom to express himself.

Prediction:

Arsenal just don’t tend to lose to the Baggies at the Emirates and have found a way past them in each of the last five outings. The Gunners to win it by a couple of goals…. Arsenal 2-0 West Bromwich Albion
