Tottenham Hotspur have got top class stars like Eriksen, Son and Alli in their attacking midfield and Spurs must hold on to them in the summer transfer window.

Moreover, the north Londoners need to further amplify the quality of their offense and reports suggest that they are interested in signing England international and Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish.

According to The Mail, the team led by South American boss Mauricio Pochettino is favorite to secure the signing of the 22-year-old attacker, who is rated at 40 million pounds (€46million).

The British source have claimed that the Argentine boss likes the English youngster but his price tag is way too high. In this case, Spurs and other suitors are hoping that Villa’s financial issue will eventually force them to bring the value down.

Another source in the form of The Telegraph have claimed that Spurs are set to move in with an offer to sign him.

In the 2014-15 season, Grealish featured in 17 Premier League games and won Villa’s young Player of the Year prize.

Prior to Villa’s relegation, in his last PL campaign, he scored once in 16 appearances. So far, the Brimingham born boy has made 7 appearances for Engalnd U-21 national team and scored 2 goals.

In the recently concluded campaign, he scored 3 goals and provided 8 assists in all competitions (34 appearances). Grealish is good but he is surely not better than the above mentioned Tottenham attackers. Therefore, in my opinion, Pochettino should look elsewhere to strengthen his offense.

  1. I suppose he’s going to be our marquee signing. LOL

Levy’s idea of a marquee signing.

    1. For the 250th time, the players who come in and the players who leave do so at the behest of Pochettino. Whatever Levy’s personal thoughts are, it is P-O-C-H-E-T-T-I-N-O who has the final word on transfers. After several years of snide comments, I’d have thought you would finally understand this. Apparently, I was wrong.

  2. If Poch and his scouts have looked at him and decided he fits what they’re after, then I hope we bring him in. If he ended up our “marquee” signing it would be Poch’ choice and after everything he’s done up until now, people should trust his opinion and methods. I’d like to see Rep Griffiths given a run out at some point next season. I wouldn’t go mad with the kid as he’s still young and untested but I’d just like to see if he looks like he can make the step up. There’s a lot of social media talk about the kid being the next big thing so let’s see if it’s valid.

  3. The English numbers need to be upped in the 25 players list and he is a levy deal and a very good player and can develop to the ability they have talked about at the Villa.as been already also so good deal and top gettable English guy . Coys
