Liverpool sold star playmaker Philippe Coutinho but did not replace him in the winter transfer window. Therefore, manager Jurgen Klopp must spend big to sign a quality replacement for the Brazilian star in the summer.
Last week, renowned French source Le10Sport reported that Liverpool are close to finding a principle agreement to sign French international and Monaco superstar Thomas Lemar.
The Les Bleus star is not the only playmaker linked with a move to Anfield. As per Sport, the Reds are one of the clubs eager to sign Welsh international Gareth Bale from Spanish giants Real Madrid. The Spanish source have claimed that Real want around 100 million euros (£88million) from the sale of their prized asset to raise funds in order to lure Neymar from PSG.
Since joining the Los Blancos from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, Bale has won three Champions League titles in four seasons. However, he was mostly injured in the last campaign and was out with a calf problem for over two months in the current campaign as well.
When fit, Bale is surely one of the best attacking playmakers in the world. This season, he has so far started 22 fixtures in all competitions for the reigning European Champions, scored 11 goals and provided 7 assists.
The former Spurs star can play in multiple attacking positions but at Madrid, he normally starts on the right flank. At the moment, Mohamed Salah is the first choice right winger at Anfield and he has been in sensational form.
Speaking of Salah, the Egyptian international is wanted by Real Madrid and Liverpool reportedly want a mammoth sum worth 180 million euros as per El Confidencial.
