Not Griezmann – Man Utd preparing first bid to sign £88million star

Manchester United have failed to win the Premier League title since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson. Furthermore, they have fallen far behind rivals and neighbors Manchester City.

Jose Mourinho is one of the best managers in the world and he has been able to help Man United progress in the past two seasons. However, for him to lift the PL trophy with the Red Devils, major reinforcements in the summer transfer window are needed.

As far as the attacking department is concerned, top quality playmakers are linked with the Old Trafford club. Yesterday, we covered a report (via) Don Balon, claiming that United are planning a huge bid to sign Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.

Now, Real Madrid star Gareth Bale is once again linked with the Red Devils.

According to Don Balon, it is well known that the Welsh international will leave the Los Blancos this summer and Jose Mourinho is already preparing first bid to hire the services of the former Tottenham superstar.

The Spanish source have claimed that Man Utd plan to bid 60 million euros and also offer the services of Anthony Martial to sign Bale. It is further mentioned that Zidane likes the French attacker but Perez does not like the offer and wants at least 100 million euros for Bale (£88million).

The 28-year-old star, whose contract with the Bernabeu club will expire in 2022, has been injury prone in the last two seasons but when fit, he has proved to be world class. So far, in the current campaign, Bale has started 19 times in the league and directly contributed in as many goals (15 goals and 4 assists).
