Liverpool have confirmed their place in the next season’s UEFA Champions League by finishing fourth in the Barclays Premier League.

The Reds smashed Brighton 4-0 on the final day of the season and will now be focusing on the Champions League final which will be played on 26th May.

As far as the next season is concerned, the Merseysiders must hold on to their key players and should further strengthen the squad in the summer transfer window to challenge for the Premier League title.

Jurgen Klopp lacks depth in his attack and therefore, he wants to reinforce the department by bringing quality players. French international Nabil Fekir (RMC Sport) has been linked with a move to Anfield recently. However, the Lyon star is not the only attacker linked with Liverpool.

According to Diario Gol, Lucas Vazquez is tired of starting games on the bench and wants a starring role at Real Madrid. The Spanish outlet have mentioned that Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp want to hire the services of the Los Blancos playmaker.

Diario Gol have claimed that Vazquez knows that he has got the talent to play regularly for a top side and if he does not get his chance at the Bernabeu, then he will look to get it at Old Trafford or at Anfield.

It is further mentioned that Real would like to keep him but they will sell if an offer worth €40m or €50m arrives or if Liverpool include Mohamed Salah in the operation.

Vazquez, 26, has scored 4 goals and provided 8 assists in 32 league games for the reigning European champions this season, however, the important fact is that he has only managed to start 16 times.

  1. Why would we want a player that is not good enough to play first team football, no matter what team that is? Fekir would be a much better signing. We don’t need Real Madrid castoffs.
