The 23-year-old left back was impressive for Valencia in the last campaign and helped them qualify for the next season’s Champions League. Gaya featured in 34 league games for the Spanish side and provided 5 assists.

As per the provided Mirror link, the defender is rated around £30million after signing a new contract with the La Liga club.

However, it must be noted that Valencia included a mammoth release clause of 100 million euros (£87.8million) in his new deal which is due to expire in 2023 (AS).

Last season, Mourinho mainly utilized Ashley Young, a natural winger, in the left back position. The former Aston Villa player is 32 and the Old Trafford club must sign a long term replacement.

In your opinion, is Gaya good enough to start for the Red Devils?
