If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils are linked with a top class midfielder in the form of Barca star Ivan Rakitic.
According to Don Balon, several top teams are after the 30-year-old Croatian and one of them is Manchester United, who are willing to put a fortune on the table to sign him.
The former Sevilla midfielder has won every major trophy with the Catalan giants and could leave the club this summer.

The Spanish source have mentioned that Rakitic knows that his position as a starter at the Nou Camp could change and that makes Man United’s offer even more tempting for him.
Last season, he was not really in top form and could only score once in 35 league outings for the Spanish champions.
As far as his national career is concerned, Rakitic has so far played 94 times for Croatia and scored 15 goals. Currently, he is in Russia for the World Cup.
As per the provided Don Balon link, at Barca, no one wants Rakitic to leave. The ex Schalke player’s current deal with Barcelona will expire in 2021 and it has a huge release clause of £110million (FCB).
