Manchester United make transfer decision on Paul Pogba

Manchester United are understood to have no plans of parting ways with midfielder Paul Pogba in the New Year despite the Frenchman’s frustration at the lack of regular gametime under manager Jose Mourinho.

The 25-year-old came into the season on the back of a bright World Cup campaign where France were crowned as the new champions but he has not been able to replicate a similar showing with United this term.

Amidst this, he has dropped down to the bench for three of United’s previous four matches but The Mail suggests that this would not influence the club to part ways with his services in the New Year.

A reunion with Juventus has regularly been fancied by the media but The Mail claims that United have no plans of offloading their marquee player, who has the potential to excel into a top-class performer in the future.

Pogba has been involved in a couple of altercations with the club’s head coach over the past year but there has nonetheless been no foul mouth from either in public regarding the bust-ups on the training pitch.

Still, the 25-year-old needs to feature regularly in the current phase of his career and he may have the opportunity to redeem himself in midweek where United are scheduled to face Valencia on the road.

United have already secured qualification to the Champions League knockouts and Mourinho has recently confirmed that Pogba will have the opportunity to prove himself against Los Che at the Mestalla.

The Red Devils are currently just two points behind Juventus in the pursuit of the first spot in their group but their chances of topping remain bleak with the Bianconeri widely expected to get the better of Young Boys.
