Premier League holders Manchester City are prepared to do business with Juventus for Leroy Sane, should they receive the services of Paulo Dybala in a straight-exchange agreement. Sane endured a slow start to the season as he was regularly called upon from the substitutes’ bench but things have changed since the last international break with two starts from his three appearances.

Despite this, there continues to remain speculation surrounding the German’s future and an exclusive from Calciomercato claims that the Bianconeri are keeping a close eye on the proceedings of the FIFA Confederations Cup winner.

It is added that the Serie A champions have highlighted Sane as a potential option to reinforce their squad despite the recent record signing of Cristiano Ronaldo but City are said to demand Dybala in a swap deal for the Germany international.

Sane enjoyed a top season with the Citizens last term and his contribution of 15 goals and 10 assists from the left side of the attack was influential towards the club winning the title with a 100-point margin – the first time it was achieved in the Premier League history.

Regardless of this, Guardiola has recently indicated that Sane’s exclusion from the starting lineup this term was due to the reduced intensity showcased during first-team training and there is every chance of him dropping to the bench, should the Catalan tactician witness another drop in performance.

On the contrary, Dybala enjoyed a similarly strong campaign with the Bianconeri last term and his contribution of 26 goals and seven assists across all competitions meant that the club secured the League and Cup double for the fourth-straight campaign.

Based on such form, the Argentine will have been expected to run the show on his return to the Bianconeri this season but so far, things have not gone as planned with no assists and just one goal resulting from his first five league games for the club.

As things stand, neither club have held discussions with the negotiations only at the representative level but the next few weeks could give a tentative idea whether City and Juventus are prepared to part ways with their prized assets to switch between then.
