Report – Man United could move to secure £80m and £62m stars

Manchester United are interested in signing two top quality players from Bayern Munich in the form of Robert Lewandowski and Thiago Alcantara.

According to British source The Independent, Mourinho is determined to strengthen his squad and the above mentioned duo are on top of his wishlist. It is further mentioned that the Red Devils are considering deals for the stars and they have got enough money to secure their signings.

As per German source Sport Bild, the Polish center forward, who was poor at the 2018 World Cup, wants to know whether the German champions are still backing him 100%.

Man Utd’s strike-force:

The Old Trafford club spent a huge amount of cash to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton last year and the Belgian international was brilliant for his nation at the World Cup. United do have players like Rashford and Alexis Sanchez, who can also play through the center if needed.

Lewandowski is one of the best out and out strikers in the world and in all fairness, he is a much better goalscorer and definitely a much bigger superstar than Romelu Lukaku.

Last season, Lukaku scored 16 goals in 34 league games while Lewandowski netted 29 goals in 30 league games. If the former Borussia Dortmund striker, who is valued at £80m (The Daily Express), arrives then he should be the main center forward up front.

Man Utd’s midfield:

Mourinho has already signed Fred to strengthen the department this summer. Moreover, he was able to agree a fresh deal with Marouane Fellaini as well. We expect, Fred to start with Matic and Pogba in the center of the park for United next season, but this setup could change if Alcantara signs.

Last month, Sport reported that Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in the 27-year-old midfielder, who is valued at 70 million euros (£62m).
