Liverpool broke their transfer record to sign Dutch international Virgil van Dijk from the Saints in the winter transfer window and the central defender has been impressive for the Reds.
According to reports going in the media, the Merseysiders are looking to sign Van Dijk’s compatriot in the form of Barca star Jasper Cillessen.
As per Don Balon, the Catalain giants have made it clear that the shot stopper will only leave if his release clause of €60million is met. The Spanish source have further stated that several clubs are willing to pay the mentioned fee and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are one of them.

Since the departure of Bravo from the Nou Camp, Barca have preferred German international Ter Stegen in their starting XI. In such a situation, Cillessen has mainly been a bench warmer since moving to the La Liga from Eredivisie side Ajax.
Barcelona have mainly started the 29-year-old shot stopper in the Copa Del Rey. Last season, in the cup competition, Cillessen made 9 appearances, conceded only two goals and kept seven clean sheets.
Liverpool surely cannot rely on inconsistent goal keepers like Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius for next season and therefore, Klopp must sign a new No.1.
In your opinion, is Cillessen good enough to guard the Liverpool goal?
