Firmino starts – Brazil’s strongest possible XI for World Cup

Brazil are one of the favorites to win the World Cup and it will be intriguing to see Tite’s preferred XI in Russia.

Roma star Alisson has been Brazil’s No.1 goalie for some time and the 25-year-old shot stopper should start ahead of Ederson and Casssio.

As far as the defense is concerned, Tite started the likes of Danilo, Silva, Miranda and Marcelo in the recently played friendly fixtures against Croatia and Austria. No change should be made in that setup.

Casemiro is arguably the best defensive midfielder in the team and he must start for the South Americans. Paulinho had an impressive season with Barcelona and the former Spurs player should start in the central midfield. Ex Liverpool playmaker, Philippe Coutinho, must start as the most advanced midfielder.

Neymar is irreplaceable and the PSG superstar should start with Chelsea star Willian in the attacking midfield.

Brazil have two quality center forwards in the form of Jesus and Firmino. Tite preferred to start the Man City striker in the friendly contests vs Croatia and Austria but in our opinion, the Liverpool star should get the nod to start in Russia after an impressive season at Anfield.

Jesus featured in 42 games for the Sky Blues last season and directly contributed in 22 goals. On the other hand, Firmino made 54 appearances for the Reds and directly contributed in 44 goals.
