Liverpool to move in to sign €60million star – Negotiations to start

Liverpool have been linked with French international and Lyon superstar Nabil Fekir for quite some time and the latest reports seem positive for the Merseysiders.

According to the latest update provided by L’Equipe, Liverpool will start negotiations early this week to sign the Les Bleus playmaker from the Ligue 1 side.

In 30 league fixtures, Fekir helped Lyon qualify for the next season’s Champions League by scoring 18 goals and providing 7 assists. Overall, in all competitions, he directly contributed in 31 goals in 40 appearances.

The French star is naturally a central attacking midfield player, who can also play effectively out wide on the flanks. He has the quality and talent to replace Coutinho at Anfield and Klopp must push to secure his signature as soon as possible.

As per the provided L’Equipe link, Bilel Ghazi has stated that Lyon want at least €60million for Fekir and Liverpool have the economic power to match that sum. Moreover, it is mentioned in the report that the player could only intervene once Lyon have agreed a fee with any club (whether Liverpool or any other).

We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming days.
