Liverpool offer €30m+ deal to agree terms with €70m star

Liverpool have been linked with Roma star Alisson in the summer transfer window and the latest report covered by a renowned Italian source is exciting.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported yesterday that Liverpool are readying a move (fee) worth €65million, which could be formalized today, to hire the services of the Brazilian international.

The Italian outlet further mentioned that the Reds have offered Alisson a deal that will make him earn more than €30m in the next five years (€6million-a-year + bonuses)

The 25-year-old star featured in 37 league games for the Giallorossi last season, conceded 28 goals and kept no fewer than 17 clean sheets.

At the 2018 World Cup, the former Internacional player started every game for the Selecao (5), conceded 3 goals and kept 3 clean sheets.

As far as Liverpool’s goalkeeping situation is concerned, it will be fair to say that the Reds have lacked a consistent shot stopper since the departure of Spanish international Pepe Reina, who won three PL Golden Glove awards during his time at Anfield.

Simon Mignolet has been inconsistent over the years and Karius has had two chances in the past two years and he has not proved to be good enough for the first team. The German international’s individual errors cost Liverpool the Champions League final vs Real Madrid.

The Merseysiders broke their transfer record to sign Van Dijk in the winter transfer window and the Dutch international immediately made a huge impact to improve the back line. Now, Liverpool have to splash the cash to sign a top goal keeper and Alisson perfectly fits the bill. He is going to be expensive and as reported by La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Roma are demanding a fee worth €70m for him.
