Liverpool move and outbid rivals to sign €70million star

Liverpool must sign a top quality goal keeper for next season if they are to seriously challenge for the Premier League title.

The Reds have been constantly linked with Real Madrid and Chelsea target Alisson, who wants his future at Roma resolved before the World Cup (Il Tempo).

According to multiple sources, it has been reported that the Merseysiders have moved in with an offer to sign the Samba star from the Serie A side.

If report covered by Mundo Deportivo is anything to go by then Liverpool have outbid rivals Real Madrid for Alisson. The Spanish source have stated that the Los Blancos made an offer worth €50million (plus bonuses), however, Liverpool have offered a fee worth €65million in an attempt to get their hands on the goalie.

Brazilian source Terra have also reported about Liverpool’s offer of €65million to sign the 25-year-old shot stopper. They have further mentioned that Klopp has ensured the player that he will be a regular starter in the team.

Liverpool are closer to Roma’s valuation of the player. As per Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte, the Italian club want €70million for their South American star.

Alisson featured in 37 league games for the Giallorossi last season, conceded 28 goals and kept 17 clean sheets. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming days.
