Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the proceedings of Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey with his existing deal due to conclude at the end of the current campaign.

The Wales international has been a committed performer for the Gunners over the past decade and during this period, he has helped them win three FA Cups – two of which have involved him scoring the winning goal.

Despite this, the Welshman has not been able to sort out a new contract with the north London side amid a disagreement over the wage package and this has increased his chances of leaving the club in the near future.

According to London Evening Standard, Ramsey will have option of signing a pre-contract with an overseas club in January with Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan among the main contenders for his signature.

However, the midfielder is said to be keen on staying put in the Premier League amid family reasons and this may encourage the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United to make an approach at the start of 2019.

A recent report from The Mirror has indicated that Reds Jurgen Klopp had tried to sign the midfielder during the summer and this may supposedly provide them the edge over United, given Ramsey is an admirer of the German’s style of management.

Nonetheless, the Welshman may not fancy the role of a squad player with the Reds loaded with options in the centre of the park and this could bring United onto the radar with the potential to offer the Welshman with a lucrative deal.

Ramsey started the season in a slow fashion with no contributions in the opening four league games but he has picked up form after the first international break of the season with three assists and one goal to his name in the top-flight.
