Liverpool have been heavily linked with French international Nabil Fekir but not so long ago, Lyon came up with an official statement and declared that the negotiations with the Merseysiders are over.
The Les Bleus star’s £53million (€60million) move to Anfield did break down (Independent) but the latest reports suggest that the deal could still happen in the summer transfer window.
Last night, on French TV channel LCI, Fekir’s agent, Jean-Pierre Bernès, made a statement that confirms that his client could still secure a move to the Mereysiders.

Bernès had a smile on his face and he said (via Foot Mercato):
“Fekir? He did not sign because … it’s not over. It’s not over, the story, you’ll see! “
As per Foot Mercato, negotiations are still continuing between the Ligue 1 club and Liverpool and it will be intriguing to see what happens next in this transfer saga.
The 24-year-old star directly contributed in 31 goals in all competitions for Lyon last season and deservedly earned his place in France’s World Cup squad.
In the opening WC contest, Fekir was impressive for the Les Bleus after coming on in the second half against Australia and it will not come as any surprise if he starts the next game vs Peru.
