Liverpool could agree playmaker signing for €23million – Klopp a keen admirer

Liverpool Football Club lack depth in their attacking department and therefore, Jurgen Klopp must splash the cash to sign a top playmaker this summer.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Merseysiders are interested in hiring the services of England international and Aston Villa attacker Jack Grealish.

According to Mirror Sport, Spurs are favorites to secure the signature of the attacker, who was impressive for Villa in the Championship last season.

On the other hand, the British source have mentioned that the Liverpool boss is a keen admirer of the 22-year-old starlet and the Reds have held talks with Villa to hire his service this summer.

Last season, Grealish scored 3 goals and provided 8 assists in 34 appearances in all competitions. He is naturally a central attacking midfielder but he can effectively play on the flanks as well.

As per the provided Mirror Sport link, Villa originally rated him at around 40 million pounds but now they have slashed the asking price to just 20 million pounds (€23million).

It is further stated that Spurs are only prepared to pay 15 million pounds to agree his signing and Liverpool have not made any firm bid as yet, therefore, Pochettino’s team are in pole position to lure him.

We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds.
