Klopp wants to capture €400million playmaker – Liverpool concretely positioned

Liverpool attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have been sensational in the current campaign for the Reds.

However, the Merseysiders do not have anyone on their bench who is good enough to replace the above mentioned stars in the offensive third.

Therefore, Jurgen Klopp needs to improve his attacking department and Liverpool are linked with numerous quality attackers. One of them is French international and Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele.

According to SFR Sport, Klopp is a huge admirer of the Les Bleus playmaker and even tried to sign Dembele for Dortmund, however, the player arrived at the club a season after the German boss left.

The French source have mentioned that the Liverpool boss would like to sign Dembele on loan from the Catalan giants with an option to make the move permanent.

Dembele joined Barca last year but has mostly spent his time on the treatment table this season. He has only started 9 league games, scored 1 goal and provided 6 assists.

Another French source in the form of RMC Sport recently reported that Liverpool are concretely positioned to sign the 20-year-old playmaker, whose current contract with Barca will expire in 2022 and it has a huge release clause of €400million (Sport).
