Done – Liverpool agree £95million worth deals to seal signing

Liverpool have finally completed major signing of a goal keeper after paying a record fee to Italian side Roma to hire the services of Alisson Becker.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Merseysiders have agreed deals worth £95million to secure the signature of the Brazilian international.

The Giallorossi have confirmed on their official website that the fee agreed with the Reds is worth 72.5million euros (£65million). On the other hand, as far as the wages are concerned, the 25-year-old has agreed a six year contract (The Independent) (worth £30million) (The Times) that will make him earn £5million-a-year.

Change was needed:

Since joining the club in 2015, Mignolet and Karius have had multiple chances but both have proved to be inconsistent and that has cost Liverpool a lot.

The Merseysiders worked hard and deservedly reached the Champions League final last season but all the good work was undone in the final by Karius, whose howlers helped Real Madrid win the title yet again.

Therefore, a change was needed and the Reds have secured a top quality shot stopper.

Klopp praised Alisson and thinks that he is one of the best in the world. Liverpool supporters, who do not follow Serie A, would have scouted the player on youtube or read about him in the mainstream media.

The fact is that he has performed at the top level in just one season and now he has become the most expensive goal keeper ever.
