Liverpool must sign a quality goal keeper if they are to have any chance of winning the Premier League title next season.

The likes of Mignolet and Karius have proved to be average and hence, Jurgen Klopp is looking for a new man, who could effectively guard the goal.

According to reports in Spain, the Reds are linked with Barca star Jasper Cillessen.

Yesterday, Don Balon reported that Klopp wants consistent shot stopper to solve the goalkeeping dilemma once and for all and Cillessen is the first name on the German manager’s list.

Today, AS have come up with a report and claimed that more than a few clubs in Europe are linked with the ex Ajax goalie and among them, Liverpool, who have a serious problem in the goal, are more interested in signing him

As per the provided Don Balon link, the Catalan giants do not want to let their second choice goalie leave and demand the suitors to activate the £53m release clause in Cillessen’s contract to secure his signature.

The 29-year-old star surely needs to leave the Nou Camp for regular first team football and moving to the Premier League to play for a Champions League should be great step for him.

Dutch players at Anfield like Wijnaldum and record signing Van Dijk would likely welcome the signing of their compatriot.
