How France should line up against Uruguay

France defeated Argentina in the Round of 16 and will now collide against Uruguay in the last eight of the World Cup today. Who will come out on top?

PSG superstar Edinson Cavani is a major doubt for the South Americans. The star striker netted two goals  in the last round to oust Portugal from the competition and his absence would be a huge boost for the Les Bleus.

However, Deschamps should really focus on breaking Uruguay’s solid defense, who have only conceded just one goal in 2018 under the management of Oscar Tabarez.

As far as France’s team news is concerned, we can expect one change in the team that started vs the La Albiceleste in the first KO round.

Juventus star Matuidi should be replaced by Barcelona playmaker Ousmane Dembele. The former Dortmund star should partner Griezmann and teenage sensation Mbappe in the attack behind Giroud.

The likes of Kante and Pogba should retain their starting positions in the center of the park and we expect Sidibe and Mendy to start after the defense conceded 3 goals against Argentina.
