Arsenal have been linked with Uruguayan international and Sampdoria defensive midfielder Lucas Torreira and the latest reports seem positive for the Gunners.

According to Sport Mediaset, the north Londoners have reached an agreement with the Serie A club to sign the South American for a price worth €30million, however, the PL club have still got to agree terms with the player.

On the other hand, Sky Sports claim that Arsenal have offered offered £26.5m (€30m) in instalments for the 22-year-old and the agreement is close. The question is, how will Torreira fit in the Arsenal team.

The Spanish used a 4-3-3 setup with Paris Saint-Germain and he might utilize the same system at the Emirates.

We can expect Torreira to line up in a three man midfield as the main play breaker. Arsenal do have a DM like Xhaka in the team but the Swiss international has mainly been productive in the creative midfield role.

The Serie A midfielder should partner Xhaka and Ramsey in the center of the park.

The likes of Ozil and Mkhitaryan should start in the attacking midfield behind lone center forward Aubameyang.

New signing Lichtsteiner should compete with Bellerin for the right back position while Monreal and Kolasinac should battle for the LB spot.

Here is how Arsenal will line up with Torreira.
