From Germany: Man United want €192,000-a-week midfielder

Manchester United have already reinforced their midfield by signing Brazilian international Fred from Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk this summer.

Now, reports in the media suggest that the Red Devils want to sign another midfielder in the form of Chilean international Arturo Vidal.

According to Bild, Bayern want to prepare the squad for new boss Kovac and would like to keep star players at the club. They have talked about four players, who are linked with a move away from the club and our focus is on the former Bayer Leverkusen star.

The renowned German outlet have mentioned that the likes of Man United and Napoli want to sign the 31-year-old midfielder.

Vidal’s performance:

The veteran midfielder announced his retirement from International football after the South American champions failed to qualify for the World Cup. Vidal had an average WC qualification campaign.

For Bayern Munich, he had an injury hit campaign last term, in which he could only start 17 times in the league, scored 6 goals and provided 2 assists. He missed the last two months of the season due to a knee concern and Bild have mentioned that he is still recovering from the injury.

His playing position:

Vidal is one of the most complete midfielders around. He can be a solid play breaker, a creative central midfielder and also an effective attacking midfielder.

His wages and market value:

The German source have stated that Vidal’s market value is €35m. His current contract with the Bundesliga champions will expire in 2019 and he earns (Bild) €192,000-a-week.
