The British source have mentioned that the Gunners are also close to completing the signing of Uruguayan international and Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira.
Former boss Arsene Wenger signed Ramsey from Cardiff when the Welsh player was a teenager. Over the years, he has excelled brilliantly under the French boss and it will be intriguing to see how he performs under new manager Unai Emery.
Last season, the 27-year-old versatile midfielder started 21 league games for Arsenal and directly contributed in 17 goals (7 goals and 10 assists).
Overall, he featured in 32 games in all competitions, scored 11 goals and provided 12 assists. If Ramsey stays and Torreira arrives as well then we can expect the duo to line up in the midfield with Swiss international Granit Xhaka, who has already signed a new contract with the club.
