£89million playmaker tempted to accept spectacular Liverpool offer

Liverpool have been heavily linked with Spanish international Marco Asensio as per recent reports going on in the media.

Yesterday, renowned Spanish source Sport (press image provided at the end of the article) came up with a report and claimed that the 22-year-old attacking midfielder has got a spectacular offer on the table from the Reds and he is tempted to agree a move to Anfield.

Last season, Asensio featured in 32 league games for the Los Blancos, scored 6 goals and provided 5 assists. The important point to be noted is that he only started 19 times in the La Liga.

Sport have stated that Perez wants to sign superstars like Neymar and Hazard and Asensio is clear that if any of the two mentioned players arrive at the Bernabeu then his playing time will be further reduced.

The Spanish source claim that the La Roja star wants to make the leap to stardom and for that, he could leave the reigning European champions.

Asensio can effectively play as a winger (either flank) and also as a central/attacking midfielder. Klopp surely needs a versatile talent like the Spaniard to improve the quality and depth of his offense.

Earlier this month, Diario Gol reported that Liverpool value him at around 100 million euros (£89million). We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming days.
