Premier League side Chelsea have reportedly softened their transfer stance on Callum Hudson-Odoi and they could be prepared to part ways with his services at the end of the campaign.
The teenager had been the subject of four separate bids from Bayern Munich during the winter transfer window, but the Blues were adamant to sell their graduate at any price.
Since then, things have not improved for the teenager in terms of the gametime and he has featured mostly in the Cup and European competitions without getting the chance to impress in the top-flight.
According to SportBild, the west London side could eventually end their association with the youngster during the summer, considering he has been reluctant to extend his contract beyond next term.
Furthermore, they are prepared to accept offers of £43m or more for the attacker, who was recently handed his maiden cap with the England national side despite not making a league start at club level.
Opinion:
Chelsea may be under a two-window transfer ban but they seem reluctant to lose Hudson-Odoi on a free transfer or a cut-price deal next year. In this case, it appears wise to sanction his sale at the right price, though that may not necessarily mean selling to a league rival.
Manchester United have recently emerged as one of the high-profile teams after the uprising star, but the Blues may want to avoid such a situation by sanctioning his sale, preferably to the Bundesliga, with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund interested.
Bayern failed with four transfer bids for Hudson-Odoi in January, but they have every chance of signing the teenager, given he had personally sought to force through an exit with a transfer request last time around. Hudson-Odoi has made 23 appearances this term, but only six have come in the league through the bench.
