The 29-year-old star is an experienced center back, who has already featured 79 times for the senior national side and scored three goals.

In the last campaign, he played 30 games in the German Bundesliga and helped Dortmund qualify for the Champions League. Unfortunately, if he completes a move to the Emirates, he will not be able to play in the Europe’s elite club competition next season because Arsenal failed to qualify for the tournament.

As per the provided BBC link, for now, Arsenal are not looking to sign young players, instead, they are focusing on luring quality players who are all set to feature in the first team.

In your opinion, is Papastathopoulos good enough to improve Arsenal’s shaky defense.
