Three Things to watch for: Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur play host to north London rivals Arsenal in Saturday’s Premier League showdown at the Wembley Stadium. Spurs suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of their cross-town rivals in the reverse fixture, and they will be aiming to avenge the defeat at ‘the home of football’.

Three Things to watch for:

Harry Kane vs Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Both strikers are prolific finishers in front of goal, but the latter is likely to have a point to prove after his club-record switch to Arsenal last month. Kane has had the knack of scoring goals versus the Gunners with six goals in seven matches, but Aubameyang’s record versus Spurs has been equally impressive. The Gabonese footballer has notched four goals in as many appearances versus Spurs with his best performance coming in the form of a brace at the Old White Hart Lane in 2016.

The midfield tussle: Arsenal clearly had the advantage in midfield during the 2-0 triumph over Spurs back in November. Nevertheless, they can expect a tougher challenge this time around with both Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele available for the hosts. The Gunners have clinched just three wins in 13 matches on the road this campaign, and Wenger may probably be tempted to start with an additional midfielder to gain some control in the game.

Arsenal’s defence: The Gunners have had a wretched record at the back this campaign, and their defensive record is presently the worst in the top-seven. The visitors have not kept a league clean sheet since the 1-0 triumph over Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium, and it will be interesting to see how the team cope especially with Kane, who is a menace with the goal at sight. Arsenal have conceded at least two goals in three of their previous four outings.
