Terms already offered – Emery wants to sign €50m playmaker for Arsenal

Arsenal need to improve their attacking department in the summer transfer window and as per reports, new boss Unai Emery is interested in signing Spanish international Lucas Vazquez.

Few days back, OK Diario reported that the north Londoners have offered terms worth €8million-a-year to sign the Los Blancos playmaker, who currently earns just €3million-a-year.

More recently, Marca have reported that former Sevilla boss Emery is in love with Vazquez’s direct style of play and Arsenal are keen on luring him this summer.

The renowned Spanish source have reported that the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea are also interested in the attacker, who turned 27 yesterday.

The versatile player’s current deal at the Bernabeu is due to expire in 2021 and it has clause (Sport) of €150million. However, as per a report covered by Diario Gol in May, the reigning European champions would sell him for a fee of €50million.

In the presence of star players like Ronaldo, Bale, Isco and Benzema, former manager Zidane mainly used Vazquez as an impact sub. Last season, the La Roja attacker could only start 16 times in the league, scored 4 goals and provided 8 assists.

Spain were eliminated from the World Cup yesterday and Vazquez did not even feature in the Round of 16 clash against Russia. The speedy winger could only feature for 4 minutes vs Portugal and 79 minutes against Iran in the opening two group games.
