£50million versatile player would like to sign for Liverpool

Liverpool needed to sign a left back last year and they did not have to spend a lot to lure Andrew Robertson from Hull City. The Scottish international was brilliant for the Merseysiders in the last campaign and he should be in the first XI next season.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Reds are once again linked with Fulham’s left back Ryan Sessegnon, who is valued at £50million (London Evening Standard).

According to The Sunday Express, the teenage sensation, who grew up as Liverpool supporter, is still a huge fan and would like to sign for the Anfield club – if he opts to leave the London based club this summer.

Sessegnon started his career as a left back but he is a versatile player who can operate effectively in the defense, in the midfield and also in the attack if needed.

Overall, last season, he made 52 appearances in all competitions for the Cottagers and directly contributed in 24 goals (16 goals and 8 assists).

As per the data collected from Transfermarkt, he played 20 games as a left back, 17 games as a left winger and 15 games as a left midfielder

Liverpool do lack depth in their attacking department and perhaps they could utilize Sessegnon out wide to cover for the likes of Mane and Salah. In your opinion, should Klopp move to sign the youngster?
