Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp strengthen the team’s left back position by signing Andrew Robertson last year from Hull City,

The German boss preferred Moreno in the start but after the Spaniard got injured, Robertson cemented his place in the first team. The Scottish international was impressive and deserves to be a regular starter for the Reds in the next campaign.

Nevertheless, if reports in the media are anything to go by then the Merseysiders are interested in signing another left back in the form of Brazilian international Alex Telles.

According to Corrieo da Manha, Liverpool are one of the clubs looking to sign the Porto defender and the Primeira Liga side have told the suitors that they can seal his signing by activating the €40million release clause in his contract, which will expire in 2021.

Telles was brilliant for the Portuguese giants in their title winning campaign last term. He was not only top class in the defense but also proved to be effective in the attack.

In all competitions, the South American featured in 45 games for Porto last season and directly contributed in no fewer than 24 goals (4 goals and 20 assists).

The Portuguese outlet have mentioned that many clubs are looking to finalize the signings after the World Cup and Telles could depart as well. It is again stressed that the player will be sold for €40million, which is not enough to scare off Liverpool and other suitors.
