Premier League [Preview]: Tottenham Hotspur vs Swansea City

Tottenham Hotspur will look to clinch a maiden league victory at the Wembley when they host Swansea City on Saturday. Spurs have secured just a solitary point from two games in their temporary home ground, but their away results have helped their cause. They are currently placed fifth in the standings with seven points. On the other hand, Swansea City have been goal shy in the opening weeks of the campaign, and they have managed to score in just one of their four league matches. Paul Clement’s side are positioned just above the relegation zone in 15th with four points.

Harry Kane – Tottenham Hotspur:

The England international opened his goalscoring tally in sublime fashion with a brace at Everton, and this was followed by two goals in the 3-1 triumph over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. Kane has not quite managed to get over his August blues, but the club’s Wembley woes have certainly lifted following an impressive win over BvB. Spurs are more or less dependent on Kane to get them going, and he will be looking to get on the scoresheet against the Swans.

Tammy Abraham – Swansea City:

With no Fernando Llorente and Gylfi Sigurdsson in their ranks, the Swans are likely to maintain their trust on the young shoulders of Tammy Abraham. The Chelsea loanee has already notched two goals in all competitions including his maiden Premier League goal in the 2-0 triumph over Crystal Palace. Abraham earned the reputation of being a top-class striker in the Championship, and he will now have to prove his worth with Wilfried Bony waiting in the wings.

Prediction:

Spurs are unbeaten in their last 12 outings against the Swans in the Premier League era, and this shows their dominance over their Welsh counterparts. Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane form one of the most menacing partnerships in the top-flight, and any slip-up could cost Swansea dear.
