Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-3-3) vs Watford, Lukaku and Young start

Manchester United make the trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford in the Premier League this weekend. The Red Devils ended a run of two successive defeats after beating Burnley on the road before the international break and they now have the chance to build a winning streak against the Hornets, who have made the perfect start to the season.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

Spain international David de Gea has been a constant presence between the sticks for Manchester United and the Hornets game should be no different with him having started the first four league games of the season.

At the back, Antonio Valencia is bound to start at right-back with the responsibility of being the club skipper and he is likely to be accompanied by Ashley Young in the opposite direction, given Luke Shaw had been withdrawn from the travelling squad a pre-caution for his head injury sustained on England duty.

Aside from this, there is unlikely to be any other change in the backline and this should witness Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof take the central defensive positions ahead of Eric Bailly, who has not started since his horror show versus Brighton & Hove Albion last month.

Onto the midfield, Nemanja Matic is very much certain feature being the player responsible for playing the sheet anchor role. Alongside him, Marouane Fellaini and Paul Pogba should likely retain their places on the right and left side of the Serbian and the fans would surely be expectant of a performance from the latter.

Pogba may have found the scoresheet from the penalty spot but besides this, he has struggled to make much of an impression from open play amid the recent speculation over his future. The Frenchman was guilty of missing a spot-kick against Burnley last time around.

In the frontline, Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez should reclaim their positions from the previous gameweek versus Burnley where the latter provided the assist for the opening goal for Romelu Lukaku in the 2-0 league triumph.

Lingard should take up his regular role on the right side of the attack with Sanchez on the opposite flank whilst Lukaku is very much certain to lead the line after netting three goals from his four matches. The Belgian’s closest competition comes from Marcus Rashford but he is banned for three games after his red card versus Burnley.
