Predicted Man Utd lineup vs Celta Vigo, Paul Pogba to start

Manchester United will look to take advantage of an away goal lead when they take on Spanish club Celta Vigo in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final.

The Red Devils have looked out of sorts in the Premier League of late, but this has not dented their European hopes as they plan to secure qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Lineup:

Sergio Romero has been in sound form for the Red Devils in the Europa League, and he could retain his place ahead of his potential departure from Old Trafford this summer.

Antonio Valencia was rewarded with a rest over the weekend, and he is in line for a start at right-back with Matteo Darmian in the opposite direction.

Phil Jones and Chris Smalling looked shaky in central defence versus the Gunners, and either one could be replaced with Eric Bailly, who is fit for the midweek clash.

Ander Herrera had a fairly average performance against the north London giants, but he could still retain his place alongside Paul Pogba at the heart of the midfield.

Moving forward, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a certainty in the right wing role, and he could be accompanied by the likes of Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford as part of an attacking three.

Anthony Martial did possess a threat in the early stages of the Arsenal game, and the emphasis will be on him to get the key goal to kill the tie.

Prediction:

Manchester United 1:1 Celta Vigo

The Mancunian giants have made it tough for themselves at Old Trafford this term. They will no doubt have to fight for the result with Celta Vigo likely to give it a go.

The Spanish outfit are currently lingering in mid-table in the La Liga, and the pressure will be on United to progress to the finals of the Europa League.
