Opinion: Three Players at risk of leaving AC Milan this summer

AC Milan have made the most of their recent change of ownership with Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux splashing the cash on as many as seven players this summer. The spending spree is unlikely to cease anytime soon with the club looking to have all bases covered in order to compete with Juventus for the Serie A title. While they have been plenty of arrivals during the course of the transfer window, the club are also likely to offload some of their existing first-team stars in order to come to terms with the Financial Fair Player regulations. Calcio Insider looks into three players who could call time on their San Siro careers before this summer’s transfer deadline.

Carlos Bacca: The Colombia international has been pushing for a Rossoneri exit for a while, and it appears his time could be up this summer. The former Sevilla man has managed 34 goals during his two-year stint in Milan, but he is still said to be disgruntled with his Serie A stay. Bacca has been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal in recent weeks but neither have yet to step up their pursuit for his services.

Mattia De Sciglio: The versatile full-back has spent his entire career with the San Siro giants. De Sciglio is capable of playing on either side of a four-man defence, and this is likely to attract plenty of interest from Italy and overseas. Milan have brought in the likes of Ricardo Rodriguez and Andrea Conti to take up the left-back and right-back positions respectively next season, and De Sciglio is unlikely to contend for a bench role. As a result, the 24-year-old will be on the move with Juventus a potential destination for his services.

Gianluca Lapadula: Another forward in the Rossoneri’s ranks, Lapadula is facing an uncertain future following the arrival of Andre Silva and Fabio Borini. The 27-year-old only arrived from Pescara last summer, but he may have to pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere in order to attain regular first-team football next season. He managed eights goals across all competitions last term.
